Travelling Souls

Two dreamers met upon a windswept shore.
I know you.
Yes.
We dreamed this once before.
Are we awake or dreaming?
Yes.
Let's dance.
The wind erased their footprints from the sands.

Two swallows fluttered underneath a bough.
We're here.
Again.
Awake and dreaming now.
But soon we'll be asleep--
Again.
Let's fly.
They left their passage marked upon the sky.

Two salmon passed each other in the deep.
You're dreaming.
Yes.
Remember, in your sleep.
We've waterfalls to climb.
Yes.
Let's go.
They wrote their wisdom on the water's flow.

We're two.
We'll wake.
At rising of the sun.
We'll be only One.

Beautiful. I love the rhyme and the theme of dreaming. Delicate.

A fine example of the layout of a poem contributing to its overall effect.
