Sol and Shadows

Sol Magazine has remarkably restrictive rules for haiku. (Writing haiku in English is also a remarkably contentious topic.)

These three fit (I think) their rules for "advanced" haiku:

hemlock shadows
dispelled by brilliant
skunk cabbages

mayfly shadows
lure ancient trout from
lairs under banks

crescent shadows
skim over slow rivers
swifts come home
