Romance After Marriage

Is this what they call happy-ending:
when lovers unite with a kiss
with streamers of moonlight descending—
is this what they call happy? Ending
the story? There’s so much more. Mending
the things that life makes go amiss,
that’s what I call happy. Not ending
when lovers unite with a kiss.

A skillfully crafted triolet that expresses a universal truth. As usual with your poems, the phrases are lovely - moonlight descending.
