Introduction

I am creating this blog because I feel that the stories and images I find in my head are not given to me to keep for myself. To that end, I'm going to be posting some short fiction I've written, as well as pictures of some of my tapestry weaving. Also some thoughts about fiction I've read, mostly science fiction and fantasy. Hopefully I'll get some good feedback and have interesting discussions.

I have been writing on and off since I was a child (think I wrote my first story when I was nine). Never have published anything, but I'm currently submitting short stories here and there and giving some consideration to writing a novel. (A friend in the Auth Biz advises me that it's easier to sell novels than short stories right now.) In the meantime, I hope to use this blog to find an audience for stories that I don't plan to sell. As for the tapestry weaving, that will mostly go up here because I think it's cool: nothing on this blog is for sale.

Some of the stories I've written are short enough that I'll post them in their entirety. Others, I'll post the first page or so and provide a link to the rest of the story for those who want to read it.

This is not going to be a daily-update blog. I'll try to post something new at least weekly, but I may fall short, especially when things get busy at work. New tapestries will appear only occasionally as it usually takes me months to finish one.
