The Guide passed by my house at night and said "Come."
I rose, and stepped forth from my house.
I rose, and stepped forth from my body.
I rose, and stepped forth from my life.
Naked souls all, we rose like falcons and followed.
We passed through killing fire,
drowning water,
stifling earth,
with the ease of thought.
Travelled vast distances,
with the speed of understanding.
Accomplished great works,
with the power of pure spirit.
Then returned, like falcons to their cages
shifting on our perches in darkened mews
we murmured to one another:
"Tomorrow night, we'll do it all again."
