Every raindrop cries of separation.
"Once I was vast, limitless and free
Now I am shrunken, trapped by condensation
Falling, falling; dark earth will swallow me!"
The wind calls every falling raindrop's name.
"Be of good cheer, your journey's just begun.
You'll see again the sky from which you came,
All streams join rivers, and all rivers run
at weary length, they run into the ocean.
From there you'll all be raised up by the sun.
There is no loss. There's only change, and motion.
The waters of the world, in truth, are one."
Like newborn babies, falling raindrops cry
For fear of earth, for love of distant sky.
