Though I may stumble, though I doubt
Though I may fill my heart with fear
of being left behind, locked out
the gate is closed to no-one here.
We can't believe that Heaven's walls
are armor-clad, like some redoubt.
Hold fast to God, I will not fall
though I may stumble, though I doubt.
No human judge can set a bar,
no human will can interfere.
The travellers throng from near and far,
the gate is closed to no-one here.
I pray for courage; heart, be stout!
And let my faintness disappear.
Though I may stumble, though I doubt
the gate is closed to no-one here.
