I dreamed I was a tree blossoming in spring.
The wind caressed my leaves and whispered sweet promises,
the sun blessed me with warmth and growth.
Bees visited my flowers every day,
and the woodland creatures sheltered in my shade.
But then came winter.
The wind grew cruel and tore my leaves away,
the sun withdrew behind grey clouds.
The bees were long gone
and my naked branches had no shelter to offer.
Empty seed-husks rotted at my feet.
"I am alone, all alone
who will love me now?"
The earth answered from beneath my roots.
"Daughter, I am here
I am always here
and spring will come again."
