ReadWritePoem has a prompt of clothing and suggested a villanelle.
I just do not have the patience to write 19 lines about this subject. So...
My closet relies on the goodwill
of strangers. I dress in donations—
recycled from fashionable landfills
my closet relies on. The Goodwill
resells them and trains folks in job skills
at many convenient locations.
My closet relies on the Goodwill.
I'm dressed up in strangers' donations.

Hey, no fair skimping! If I can take it you can. You're actually good at this stuff. :->
I'm a thrifter, too. Loved this, and very nice triolet!
Agree with Dale, you're good at "this stuff." This is very nice, reads easy.
I love second hand clothes too, I like the various ways you use the word Goodwill in this poem. Excellent and the suggestion of vilanelle was entirely optional so no need to feel bad about not doing one (though you do them very well!)
Very nicely done...oh I didnt realize that it had to be a vilanelle...until I came here! oopsy.
Don't feel bad; I posted a villanelle last week instead!
I hear the echoes of a villanelle in here. Love the Goodwill angle!
I've only read one villanelle so far, Dale's I believe.
The form you chose, though shorter, is probably more difficult, at least for me.
Beautiful. Content and form. (Though it's hard to believe you don't have patience :-) )
This was well crafted -- I enjoyed it. Great subject matter.
My wife is a size 1 or 3, depending on how the garment is cut. She goes to second hand stores all the time and finds these fabulous salesman's samples of designer label clothing -- that have never been worn, save maybe by a mannequin. I am a pudgy old man and can't find a thing in those places. I am extremely jealous of those of you who can... ;)
I like the way this goes - amphibrachic trimeter, not heard of that before but if you break it down into syllables it means something completely different!
Love the Tennessee Williams nod. I too am a thrifter, and honestly prefer it to the actual store!
Great poem! This is the first time I've encountered this form; I want to try it now.
