I wear a moonbow as my wedding band
keep butterflies alive, for photographs
and write my memorabilia in the sand
before the tides come in. No tears, no laughs
are meant to last always. (Thank God it's so.)
Whatever my condition, it's not writ
in stone imperishable: melting snow
lasts longer. Want change? Wait a bit.
I've written you a love-note on a cloud
and chiseled my regrets in ice that went
out-river with the thaw in early spring.
Eternity is nothing we're allowed
to count on. So a cherry-petal ring
will hold my vows until my time is spent.

this is awesome! love it!
the transient properties of time make every moment unique and precious
you've made fleeting seem so graceful in these words!
