the red shoes won't help
because home is not where you have to go.
The desert needs you.
The dragon by the bridge of stone calls your name:
"Water, water!"
There's nothing alive inside this cathedral
except the shadows cast
by the burning whirlpool of the sun window.
Go now. Walk into the sun
and I will follow you with flowers in my arms
strung on the spiral thread
that joins you and me and the dragon
and the sun's eye.
