We've lost the secret of building
aeolian harps, of carving stone
to sing like flutes when the wind blows
and these wires are meant to carry
human voices only.
But after you hang up the phone
when no-one's pressing buttons
and no ring-tone is being sent
stand under the wires and hear wind
playing harp.

I loved to listen to the lines hum when I was a girl. I wonder if they still do that. No tall towers around to hear in my neighborhood.
Nice.
Love the harp image - the ancient and modern
never thought of it this way--provocative!
Love the poem, but I fear that the wires in the picture are carrying a few thousand volts of electricity!
A wonderful interpretation of the image.
mmmm... this is nice.
