Nothing but grey drifting
outside the window, and the noise of birds
chattering and fighting on the roof
at six on a humid summer morning.
Nothing but copper haze
hovering over afternoon sidewalks, and
weed-eaters snarling across
shocking green lawns.
We asked for nothing more
and received so much.

And these are the gifts I love to receive. Hope all is well. Have a great day.
Indeed we do receive so much more that we realise.
Thank you for your poem.
There are so many natural sites to see if we just look! Beautiful poem!
Do you have any ideas about how to get Mr. Linky working again?
Also, I'll be going on vacation starting this Thursday for a week and will not have my computer with me. I'm going to pre-post the prompts and requests but could you double check to make sure they actually get posted? Thanks!
Linda-- will do. I put a note about Mr. Linky on TOP: don't think we'll be seeing him for a while.
