Thunder Blues

I think the weather’s changing, I can feel it on my skin

Feel that electric when the hair stands straight and thin

I hear the thunder whisper, oh honey, let me in.

Listen to the sirens, there’s some trouble on the street

All day that summer swelter, so hot it hurts to breathe

Hot water in the rivers and the night brings no relief.

We walk our days in danger from the heat of the killing sun

Walk all night in fear from the shadow of the gun

When you hear that thunder rolling, you know change is gonna come.
