Reconstructed from the Browser History of a Case of Accidental Toxicity

I heard, Artemisia – that’s wormwood—
same as absinthe—fights COVID. But how?

A pinch of leaves in a silver dish—
not china or pewter, must be silver—

left on the porch? Or do you just drink
absinthe through a sugar cube

like Van Gogh? COVID might be better
then how he ended up. Or make sachets

of Artemisia flowers, red-and-white-
checked cloth, to hang around your home.

Dry a root and sleep with it under
your bed—make sure to vacuum first—

or must it be live plants? In the yard—
or windowboxes—hanging baskets—

how big does this stuff get—annual
or perennial? How much water

does it need, can I get it at the garden store?
It’s natural, so it’s safe? Right?
