Tillamook Bar,
the ocean licks you away
like frosting from a cake.
Your houses crumble like icing-flowers
to feed the grey-green hunger
at the edge of the sugar-white froth--
but it isn't sweet, not at all
bitter gouges in the soft flesh of the land.
