Bombardment shattered
stucco off the crimson-spattered
walls and left their wire-mesh skeletons exposed.
I bat away the dust that pricks my nose.
Candy-sweet geraniums by a broken door
give their plaintive cry:
is this revolution? Transformation? Alchemy,
or just the crimson signature of war?

as always tiel, a beautiful sight in the middle of deadly war...
Powerful images, especially "wire-mesh skeletons exposed."
