Irresistible Dumas

So the prompt was to write an assignation that takes place in a scene from a movie or novel. And I picked Dumas' Three Musketeers, for the scene with the diamond studs at the dance. ("Rendezvous Between the Covers")

But having read through the scene and gotten what I needed for the poem, I found myself compelled to re-read the whole book...

It's like that with Dumas. It's like that with Dickens.

Re Reading your favourite authors is rather, another intimate affair. You have to read it again, page by page, glancing through, between the lines.
